Harold C. Brown & Co. Philanthropic Mission Statement: Harold C. Brown & Co. LLC. is committed to improving the quality of life in the communities we serve utilizing a combination of financial support through our Philanthropic Committee, and volunteer service by our employees.
Funding Priorities: Harold C. Brown & Company’s Philanthropic Program will consider making contributions to organizations, either for event sponsorship or for the purchase of necessary supplies and/or equipment, that are related to education, the arts, health or our community. If Harold C. Brown & Company contributes to an organization, we will not consider another contribution for a three year period.
Organizations outside of funding guidelines: In general, grants are NOT made to:
· Individuals
· Organization lacking the 501(C) (3) status
· Political organizations, candidates or lobbying organizations
· Fraternal or veterans organizations
· Sport teams
· National or international organizations unless their programs have significant
local impact or support our communities
· Religious or sectarian organizations, except when they are conducting
programs secular in nature and have wide public impact
· Third parties
· Scholarships
· Professional seminars; employee recognition events; or team travel expenses
· Tax-payer supported organizations (except libraries and public schools)To Apply for Funding: Please complete the application provided, and return it to Harold C. Brown & Co. with your proposal. We will also require the following documentation:
· Project description
· Complete project budget
· Copy of agency’s IRS 501 (C)(3) federal tax exempt letter of determination
· Board member list noting members’ affiliationsFunding Levels: Requests that meet priorities and guidelines are eligible for the following support levels as deemed appropriate by the committee:
1. Full level of support - $2,500 – $5,000
2. Secondary level of support : less than $2,500
